At Schemitzin 1998 World Singing Championships, the White Eagles placed 10th in the Hand Drumming Competition and 9th in the Northern Original Style. In addition, the White Eagles are accomplished performers and teachers and have conducted classes and workshops on Native music and dance. They have also recorded and toured with the award-winning Songcatchers, winners of the 1994 First Americans in the Arts Outstanding Musical Achievement Award; as well as touring and opening for the Neville Brothers, Heart, CCR, Tower of Power and touring with Peter Gabriel’s WOMAD. They are available to youth groups, community centers, or US reservation and Canadian band office programs. Please call for information on scheduling them as Host Drum or to conduct a workshop. | |
